Terms

Terms of use

These terms form the agreement between you and Wonder Media Ltd when you use the Aeros TV app. Please read them carefully.

1. About us

Aeros TV is made by Wonder Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06489006, whose registered office is 48 Church Avenue, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 4HG. Our VAT number is 983 5674 67. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Wonder Media Ltd. You can contact us at support@aeros.tv.

Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data.

2. These terms and Apple’s licence

You download Aeros TV from the App Store, so your use of it is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms apply alongside that agreement. If the two conflict, Apple’s agreement applies to the extent the conflict concerns the licence to use the app.

3. What Aeros TV is

Aeros TV is a TV guide for Apple TV. It shows listings for UK channels, opens channels in their broadcasters’ apps, and plays channels from your own HDHomeRun tuner if you have one.

Aeros TV does not provide any channel or programme. The apps it opens, such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, NOW and Sky Go, belong to their owners, and so do their subscriptions, sign-ins and what they make available. To watch a channel in its app, you need that app installed and signed in, and some apps need their own subscription. Channels and catch-up programmes can change or stop without notice, and listings can be wrong.

4. A TV licence

In the UK, you need a TV licence to watch live TV on any channel or service, including in apps and in Aeros TV, and to use BBC iPlayer. You are responsible for having one where it is needed.

5. The free trial and the price

Aeros TV is free to download. Everything in it is free for 7 days from when you start the free trial. To keep using Aeros TV after that, you pay £6.99 once. This is a single payment, not a subscription: nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.

When the trial ends, Aeros TV cannot be used until you unlock it. Once you have paid, Aeros TV is unlocked for good on all your Apple TVs signed in to the same Apple Account, and for your family through Family Sharing.

The trial and payment are handled by Apple through the App Store, and are subject to Apple’s terms. Apple handles refunds and Family Sharing. The price shown in the App Store before you pay is the price you pay.

6. HDHomeRun

HDHomeRun tuners are made and sold by SiliconDust. We do not sell or support the hardware. Every HDHomeRun made for a UK aerial (DVB-T/T2) should work with Aeros TV; if yours does not, please contact us. Pausing and rewinding live TV needs an HDHomeRun with two tuners.

7. Where Aeros TV works

Aeros TV is for use in the UK. Broadcasters’ apps play their channels only in the UK, so outside it most channels will not play.

8. Using Aeros TV

Aeros TV is for your own domestic and private use. You must not use it for any commercial purpose, or in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the apps and services it opens.

9. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Aeros TV is digital content, and it must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair or a replacement, or to some or all of your money back. For more information, contact Citizens Advice.

10. Our responsibility to you

We will provide Aeros TV with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from faults, and we may change, add or remove features. We are not responsible for the channels, programmes, apps or listings it shows or opens, which are provided by others.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Aeros TV is provided for domestic and private use only, and we are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer in relation to digital content.

If defective digital content that we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation, unless the damage was caused by your failure to follow our instructions.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Aeros TV or to the law. The date below shows when they were last revised. A change will not affect a purchase you have already made.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. Contact

If you have a question or a complaint about Aeros TV, please email support@aeros.tv. We handle correspondence in English.
